If you see no sign of action/discipline after talking to the father, and I mean IMMEDIATE redress from him and son, then make a bigger stink. No job is worth a workplace where you feel neither safe nor listened to.
There are serious overtones of sexism here... would he have pulled a knife so casually on another man?
Next time, scream your head off, make a scene. All women's self-defense recommends fighting back, until you can remove yourself from the scene. If you play it cool he'll know he can do it again.
File a victim impact statement, make sure he sees it. Then he should get a clue about the kind of effect his actions have.
DON'T discount your feelings - they are perfectly legitimate, and anyone who tells you otherwise is effectively protecting him, not you.
