| I've got plenty of good reasons for that, no matter how many of you people want to see the kid thrown in jail.
1. There is no evidence anything ever happened. My cubicle is at the end of the row, and I am not the sort of person who screams easily, so no one, not even the cubicle next door, knows anything about this.
2. I don't want that sort of publicity at my workplace.
3. He did mean it as a joke, and since I am on the scene, I can determine that better than y'all can. If you ever saw the kid, you'd know what I mean.
4. Besides which, the knife he had is so dull I don't think it could cut butter. I just tried to cut a piece of paper with it and couldn't.
Thanks for all the support, but I just don't see any reason to give a kid a police record for something that stupid. I'm gonna turn this over to his father, and I'm sure he'll get punished enough for that. If everyone out there was jailed for everything you did that was illegal (ripping .mp3's, exceeding the speed limit) the jails would be full. Calling the police is a bit of overkill on this one. Punishment, yes. Police, no. |
