You'll have to pardon me if I point you back to earlier posts as part of the answer for this one. At no point did I claim there was no wrongdoing. At no point did I say that the officers should not be held accountable. I DID say, however, that the meager evidence to date does not merit the level of vitriol which has been directed at the man.

No, being angry doesn't excuse someone, any more than it excuses domestic violence, but surrendering to a moment of human anger does not make you a monster... and that is my one and ONLY point. Let the police department and courts deal with the officers appropriately, dismissing/suspending/jailing them as the legal statutes dictate, but I will not immediately declare a man as utter scum for what occurred. Tell me of a single person that hasn't had the urge to hit another, reasoned or not, and I will suggest that person be nominated for sainthood.
