any contention that there was clear evidence of wrongdoing... HOWEVER, what I did and will continue to take issue with is the cavalier designation applied to the officer as 'scum'. Corrective action is obviously in order, even prison time if the investigation warrants it, but I refuse to label anyone that readily for what could well be nothing more than a momentary lapse of judgement. Show me proof that he has a record of violent activity. Show me proof that there is a history of racism. Show me proof that he has violated the public trust any time previously. Show me any of these, and I will gladly acquiesce that the officer is scum, otherwise he's a human that stepped far beyond the bounds of his training and authority for one brief instant.
