unfortunately, and it will only serve to feed the mass hunger for anything to direct hate at. shrugs I still don't disagree that there was wrongdoing there, but the immediate response to the officer in question seems somewhat... extreme. Someone who murders or assaults serially? Scum. Someone who performs certain heinous acts? Scum. An officer who (to the current knowledge presented by the article) steps beyond the bounds on a single occasion? Worthy of dismissal and trial, but not necessarily the scum of the earth.
