Not quite. Since I'm Russian, I can say this:
Pidr [pee-deh-r] (not Pitr) is commonly a swear word that perhaps COULD be a slang for homosexual.
Actually, it is a shorthand for pederasty.
To extend it out: Pidr is a shorthand of Pidaras, which is translated from Russian means Pederasty.
However, I don't think the word is used to mean homosexuality of pederasty. It is used kinda like a mild swear word that is used as a swear word, and doesn't have much sense or meaning otherwise. It usually does not offend anybody and is used to just poke jokes and stuff at each other. Perhaps, it could be compared to something like "bung-hole" in English.

Now Pitr is actually Petr [P-yoh-tr] in Russian.
A familiar version of Petr is Petya [Peh-tya] or Petka [Peh-t-ka] is a slang word for Penis.

Pidr is more or less FYOS safe.
Pitr is more risky, since it could means penis.
Actually, I know certain FYOS that can handle this and much more.

So, there it is.
Dennis
