Darn hard. I nearly went through the process myself. Kinda wierd since i'd never set foot in the country (at the time), and had a German vocabulary of about 12 words. The mandatory service in the militia is what finally ended that idea. (How my uncle managed to avoid conscription and the tax is another matter entirely ;-)
