Who may potentially become a threat, then you must indeed launch a campaign for world domination.
That is the only way you will ever get total security, by creating a single and extremely oppressive government for the planet as a whole.
And indeed, as far as I can see, attacking Iraq now, will breed just the right conditions of resentment and anger to lead to more terrorist attacks. Right now, Iraq is a bad position and the economic sanctions are already hurting the Iraqi population. From such a population are fanatics created.
The best thing you could do right now is leave well enough alone. I don’t mean turn your backs, I mean stay your hands. Let humanitarian aid back in. In the long run, that could be a lot more profitable than attacking because they might, one day, become hostile and attack you.
Oh, I was was not implying that all americans were imperialists, but the gouvermental logic that is being displayed is certainly so at the moment.
