Humans are at the top of the food chain. We did not reach this lofty position by being nice. We are the most vicious, cunning, calculating, murderous animals on the whole planet.

Our society which allows "free speech" and "the right to breathe clean air" is what we call civilisation. Unfortunately when we consider the amount of time we have been number one as a species and the time we have had "civilisation" we discover that instead of being an absolute, civilisation is a waver-thin veneer. It would take one ecological disaster to shatter that veneer and have us all reverting back to what we are: The most cussed varmints on the planet. Anyone who attemped to cling to civilisation in those circumstances would quickly find themselves a victim of Darwins theory.

Your black brother is simply reacting in the manner that I would react to if I saw a convicted paedophile walking down my street surrounded by kids and giving them sweets (candy). We cannot deny these primitive instincts. They are part of us as our hands are. We can mask them with civilization, just like we can put a glove on our hands but when push comes to shove they can and will strike hard. it will take a good 100,000 years of further evolution before we would be able to keep our base instincts permanently in check.
