ok question to Win2K and WinXP users by Arienadean2002-07-01 17:02:14
  dual boot linux/win2k by satan 2002-07-01 17:31:44
Unless youre a wiz with boot sector stuff, load win2k first, its happier then. Im running win2k and mandrake 8.3. Just leave some empty space on the hard drive for Linux dring the nt install, and it shoud be fine.]
In 2k seems to run half life and q3 reasonaly ok, and also seems pretty stable.

As for xp, well, yeah, xp. it was definitley supposed to be some kind of operating system. At least down on paper. all i can say is my xp 1.7 ghz machine at work is now running at least as slow as the 333 mhz 98 machine next to it. Granted, some of that might be some of the custom network stuff thats been installed, but, hmmm, the 98 machine has the same stuff on it. GO figure.
