ok question to Win2K and WinXP users by Arienadean 2002-07-01 17:02:14
I'm duel booting and using 98SE... I know at some point I'll have to upgrade. Though I've used w2k I've not tried certain programs on it. My roommate has w2k pro doing duelboot with win98SE. I've not tried XP at all just seen it in a store.(my is it umm "bright" for lack of a better word). I've heard at least from my roommate that w2k dislikes some games and a few other programs. He's runnind duel boot as some of his CAD type programs require w2k or NT.

So out of w2k pro and XP pro what are the pro's and cons of switching to either of those.(I'll stay duel boot with linux of course) I've got an athlon 1GHz thunderbird with 256K ram.

Anyone with a like machine running either XP or w2k in duel boot with linux? Any issues you found with that if so?

The stuff I'm using in windows is supposed to for the most part work with 9x and 2K. I think though the odd prog would work with old 3x even.<shrug>
