out of curiosity is there any original by Arienadean 2002-07-01 15:25:20
ver of unix still around anywhere? I'm still a newbie so forgive my cluelessness here. I was told that it doesn't seem to exist in the original form anymore but wondered if its lurking out there(the web/net is a big place after all).

I've been told Solaris, linux, debian, and BSD are all fairly diffrent. Though not seen a site that has some sort of comparision that really points out how. I was told though that BSD threading might be diffrent from linux and that BSD is closer to the original unix.(yes a linux person told me that lol it was when I was considering totally doing away with mandrake and using bsd... I was using mandrake 6.5 at the time then 7 and 6.5 was awful in some respects)
