1) The SCSI controller is an Adaptec 2940 UW 2) The EIDE controller is onboard (the VIA chipset with an updated BIOS to avoid the EIDE prob of last year) 3) It worked with SuSE 7.3, so why shouldn't it work with 8.0? (And yes: I looked into the "hardware compatible" database of SuSE.)
