including the torching of Washington, but Canadian militia ("Canadian" referring to "people from the colonies of Upper and Lower Canada") fought at most of the battles and a few were fought almost exclusively by Canadians. Most of these were victories for us, I might add. Nothing like taking a few potshots at a trained force three times your size and watching them turn tail and run...
