Anyone here know ColdFusion? by DennisNotOld 2002-07-01 08:36:40
I've been polluting Macromedia's CF newsgroup and forum for a couple of days now with the following question... maybe there's a UFie kind enough to lend me a helping hand. Thus far I've taken the following steps:
1. Install CF
2. Stop the service manually, edit "jrun.xml" so it listens on
port 85 (it conflicts with Apache on 80... that'll be my
next issue).
3. Start it again, manually, confirming that JRun starts
4. Run Macromedia's configuration program, as per the
documentation, enter:

D:\CFusionMX\runtime\jre\bin\java -cp
D:\CFusionMX\runtime\lib -jar
D:\CFusionMX\runtime\lib\wsconfig.jar -ws Apache
-dir D:\Progra~1\Apache~1\Apache2\conf -v

on one great big line.
5. That command continues to return some info about my PC,
and then the following:

File D:\CFusionMX\runtime\lib\wsconfig\jrun32.dll newer
than JAR file D:\CFusionMX\runtime\lib\wsconfig.jar so
not extracted.
Could not connect to any JRun servers on localhost.
Confirm that the JRun server is started.

6. If I try ignoring that and going to a .cfm page, I get
Windows NT errors 1060 and 2, and the latter tells me that
the service is probably not running.

Any ideas? At this point I'm very desperate, and any input would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton.
