I see, that mankind is rather solemnly occupying a "rather" vast area of the universe and that we have not yet made use of or even noticed _all_ our capabilities.
As a christian I should think, this is by intention.
As a curious person, I venture, that there lies something ahead, mankind should prepare for (maybe the constant array of duties that we _are_ aware of and try to neglect, or something bigger in the far future). We might cope with trouble or fail.
But as long as noone else turns up to take the responsibility from us, we should rather assume, that some part of the creation is relying on us and noone else, that is: on you and me.
