There's a whole lot of them over here (most of the younger people in my neighbourhood, apart from me, are in the local Burschenschaft). And on the 1st of May, you can bet a village around here will be raising a maypole, which is a great excuse for me to come over and intoxicate myself near-fatally (wearing earplugs to block out the "Musi"). Apart from those "Happy Braindeath Days", though, we're like the rest of Germany. Honest. Well, at least I am. Normal by my standards, that is ... ok, ok, we're all nuts. ;)

But you're right. The housefront I've seen on the front page of marthasteward.com made me want to throw up. If I saw such a house in blue-and-white around here, It would take me a great deal of self-control not to get creative with a few bottles of perfume and a lighter.
