I'm pretty sure it was right. by nin_man 2002-06-25 08:53:48
You know, "Red Rover, Red Rover, send [somebody] right over!"

And then the somebody would run as fast as they could, and try to break through the line of connected hands. Sometimes, a kid would run at the end, where two persons had both hands connected, and catch it right in the Adam's apple. He wouldn't get back up for a little while.

Or some large kid would rumble between the two smallest kids in the line, and either dislocate one or both of their shoulders, or on one memorable occasion, hit right at the elbow and snap the kid's arm like a twig.

The bad thing about it was, whenever something like that happened, we'd just move the lines so the fallen ones weren't in the way and keep right on playing. Sure, one person would go tell Coach what'd happened, but everyone else kept going.

We don't even need to go into what happened the one day we got to joust with foam bats. Let's just say that the handle end isn't none too soft.
