The only game banned here by Arienadean 2002-06-25 08:14:55
is snowball fights. Too many kids years ago I guess got hit by rocks in the snowballs or ice in them. Actually its possible rocks or ice they cite as being dangerous. So they forbid the kids doing it and they'll get called to the office and expelled for the rest of the day and some form of apology to any child they've hurt doing it etc. Otherwise afik its the only playground game banned. I have to agree on the reasons for banning it as as a child I was whacked with snowballs that had stuff in it when others were playing around as were other kids I know including my siblings. I remember one kid with a bloody face and the child that threw that snowball felt awful... I forget what the teachers did to him but they called him in their office for it even back in the 70s... though afik they didn't ban snowball fights here til the 80's. Only toys I know that are banned from school are elctronic for they might get stolden, and replica items that could be mistaken for the real thing/be seen as promoting violence.(toy guns, toy knives, switchblade combs, etc) However be it snowballs or toys they can't have there they make sure the kids understand why and first time or two they get a warning if they didn't know or hadn't done anything before. After that they do get in trouble...

I think banning tag though which you mention is going too far. :/
