Guess I could have warned you first... those colors were per the user.
The forum system as of current does support the single page look. (without the left frame)
As for letting you take a look at the source code... I can do that... it is wrote in VB6 so to change and compile it you would need VB6.
Your other option is as of course... to write your own... :-)
