Here is a link to a site that shows you how to tunnel VNC through ssh, so you could just replace the vnc ports with the X ports.

Just by the way, IMHO if you want to connect over the internet to your linux box, vnc is a much better option than plain X. It uses MUCH less bandwidth + you get a cool java server thingie from the VNC server, so you can connect to your computer from any java capable browser on the internet :)
