You always need to open up the X port, otherwise all you can do is cmd line, so if your father is a total bofh (bastard operator from hell) you will not get this. What you could do is set up a vnc server or the like, you can tunnel them through other ports which your dad might have open, there is even a client which can use port 80 through a web browser, don't remember the name. -sunw
