| policy, proceedures, facts, etc basically the data... figuring out a decient approach then letter writing campagins. Usually to MLA's, Minister's responsible for whatever, Ombusdmen if applicable, office heirarchy if applicable, etc and finally the paper. Trying to do it through correct channels yet cc'ing to various public intrest/advocacy groups tends to get their attention and it does work... I've caused the BC government at least once to effect policy change quietly. I didn't get to the press but I made a point with the minister involved, etc. :) I've also won just about every issue I fought on via this manner if it was involving human rights issues... or similarly on the other side customer service issues.(I've had consumer and coroporate affairs go after 2 businesses) Gotta remember to doccument/keep evidence and that also helps as does others support(or eye witness comments added to whatever bits you've sent off here and there to deal with things) |
