teach such things unless the parents object as young as grade 5 or 6.(re STD/VD health stuff) Though when I was in school they taught it ingrades 7-9. They actually called us all into the gym at one point after AIDS or something became known(I forget what it was this was back in the 80's) and lectured us all on being "safe" that way. The other classes they gave us warned us about such things and covered the facts of life. So I don't think that many here are clueless.<shrug> Though I've known ones from other places that either didn't get that sort of education or who aren't like here where kids are educated young thease days to protect them. Some are suprised our kids are taught such things young(its to protect them from assult and from other things when they are older and curious/hormone ridden, etc). But thought it was good that they were educated so they'd have a better chance of not running into certain things in life or at least being better prepared for various choices in life.(they also go over some parenting stuff in school here and life skills in order for us to graduate... well at least back when I was in school they did) I think most canadians are fairly laid back and unphaseable... So something like that comment would of got a laugh perhaps and maybe just a curious look at the fellow that asked as to him not knowing in the first place.<shrug>
