She always complains about the entire balcony filled with my 'useful junk'. When we moved across the city I had to hire an extra truck just for it! I am going through it and either using or chucking most of it in preparation for an intercity (or possibly international) move in a few years. Then again, I was able to re-plumb the kitchen at no cost to get the washimg machine working without dis-connecting the sink using some of that junk; and numerous other home improvements. She doesn't complain so much now. ;-) My big push at the moment is to use as much junk up as possible making a really sci-fi looking personal (eventually wireless for connecting to a wearable PC) server (see my space junk page linked from my diary for a very preliminary outline).
