NIC problems by taciturnia 2002-06-22 01:15:03
I got last dollar ($19.99) ethernet card at comp usa a few days ago. Its a belkin 10/100BT. I get it home, and install all the drivers and such, then find that it isn't wanting to work for me. It detects the card in boot, shows it in the list of drivers, etc. But it won't access the net. but when I put my other computer's NIC in its place, there's no problem whatsoever.

I tried the belkin on my other computer as well, doesn't work their either. I went to return it, and discovered that my invoice was lost, so I traded it for the same model in hopes that it was just defective.

No gold. I got it home, and still the same problems. So now I either get to waste $20 and go buy a new one, or get help on the belkin.

Anyone got insight?
