Thankfulness aside, the service there sucks! (and no, tipping is not customary in Sweden) :) too many decades of a social democratic government, I'm afraid. I think quality of service has a lot more to do with social attitudes towards the value of serving others than with tipping (reference previous comments by someone else about service in japan!)
