in the evil media juggernaut that is Disney. In the old days, they would have used their news outlet (ABC) to hype the "miraculous" feats of the American team, devoted a couple of newsmagazines to covering "the personal triumphs and tribulations" of the team, taken full advantage up hightened nationalism with frequent references to 9/11 and then created a soap-opera atmosphere by publishing every word spoken by a German or American player which could be interpreted as an insult. Then they would move the game to network and charge superbowl-esque rates for advertising. I miss those days.
