I'm going through yet another stack of student assignments - this time English major students.
It's delightful. Occasional little mistakes like missing the's and innappropriate case usage and occasional mis-used words like electricity instead of electronic and smallpox instead of acne. Very easy to mark and shows their English level is about as high as it can get without immersion in a native English environment.
And I can be certain it is all original work. One girl even had a classmate draw the accompanying pictures (necessary for the assignment, but I'm not marking them - I said they could draw them, cut them out of newspapers, whetever) and attributed the art to her friend.
I am still on line here (just), but at 14.4k, that Digital_Droo MP3 is taking a while. Hope it's as good as they say!
Chinglish hilites so far:
"A thicky business letter" - Steve Balimer?
"...and so on." - the most popular inapropriateness in formal English writing in China!
