as i wake up this morning, my father is complaining about some problem starting the computer, it appears that ScanDisk had found some filename that was far too long and that i needed to run scandisck underwindows to solve it, the solution, press enter and let the thing load.
but i decided to run scandisk, meaning i had to take every damn plug out of my DSL modem, becaus it lacks a power switch.
then i ran scandisk, did nothing, i got about90% through the option that checks disk surfaces, then i decided i'd just defrag while i had the thing unplugged.
all is well, but i never got rid of that file.
any ideas how to fix that problem?
i'm running Win98SE.
