Linux modem by imrambi 2002-06-20 12:54:15
I am looking for a cheap modem that works with Linux. Does anyone know where I can get a good deal for one? (I know about the compatibility list, but that is always being changed). I am running RH 7.2. Any help or a modem that you know that works that I can get for cheap would be appriceated. I am looking for a 56k pci modem. Check my diary for specs and other things that is happening with my Linux server.

I would also like to drop an old Mac on the network. The mac is running 8.5.x (i think. it is at least 8). Does anyone know if Samba needs special configuration or does the mac need configuration to run with Samba to access network drive?

Any help or ideas with either of these questions would be greatly appreciated.
