1. You haven't been nice to your network admin. (Most likely)
Fix: Buy gift for network admin, candy, UF mug, UF tshirt
2. You have some network config settings wrong.
Fix: If you are DHCP renew your interface, if you are static IP, check your subnetmask, DNS, and other config options.
3. You rolled your chair over your CAT 5 patch cable once too often. (Once is often too often)
Fix: replace the cable
4. The hub you are connected to lost your port
Fix: See remedy #1
5. Somebody down the cubicle line had some network changes made to his cubicle and your wires got screwed up.
Fix: See remedy #1
6. You are a pointy haired boss (not likely since you are here in UFfieland) but if this is the case, immediately call the techies and ask them to check the following:
Fix: Depending on your network type, look for Lost tokens in the carpet, the smell of leaking ether in your office, and make sure that someone hasn't replaced the fake computer screen that came with your desk with a non-logged in version.
