But Outlook works just fine with Lotus notes, as long as all you want is to check your email. The part that you need the (crappy) Notes client for is accessing all the other cool applications that Domino Server can provide. Unfortunately, Domino applications are usually the reason for switching to Notes in the first place.

btw, if you figure out how to get rules working in Notes client, could you let me know? 2 years off-and-on using that stupid client, and I never did figure out how to sort 'if it's from my boss, move to this folder that I make sure to check regularly' or 'if it's not to me directly, get it the hell outta my way'.
