And the bandwidth problems are soon to be solved. Yaaaay!! The building adminadstration have got their phone bill including me hooked into dialin almost 12/7 (their fault for having such a crappy PABX so I coundn't give a ....) and has given me the go-ahead for running DSL into the building for a shared network amongst half a dozen teachers that live here. I'm just holding off until I get to see the Chancelor of the Uni as I have heard they have a big fat pipe they don't know how to connect (and the companies are charging way too much - I'll use the post-grad students, Linux and all the old boxen lying around here in store rooms).

I'm very excited, as you might have guessed! :-) This will be my first serious hardware installation in nearly a decade.
