And why I wont is because of my daughters illness.(I'm not to food my ex has let her use them). Cell phones have been linked to brain tumours. Enough questions have been raised that the industry itself is no investigating the links to it. There were also several news stories on people that developed tumours on the same side as they'd hold their phone and they used their phones alot. I happen to be a ham radio op and though I'm not advanced with my morse code license wise... I know people that are including my roommate. My roommate refuses to use cell phones same with some of the other ham operators we know though several just limit their use or use hands free things that keep the antenna away from the head. Basically what I've heard both on tv and from at least one other ham radio op is that the resonance of the phone is similar to that of the human brain which is a bad thing. Also we are talking a reasonably strong small intenna in close proximity to the head. Cordless phones aren't to great either in a way but cellphones are particularly bad. I did have a cellphone briefly and it was one of the chunky ones that existed in the early 90's. I rarely used it. However my ex husbands family all have cellphones and fequently let the children use them. Btw cellphones are forbidden in hospitals and a few other places as they can bother some equipment. The brand of phone I had used was motorolla. The type of phone my exhusband currently uses as does most his family I think is nooka. No idea on what provider they use. Personally I'd go for a pager. I've thought of getting one myself. But I'd avoid a cellphone unless you plan on using a headset/handsfree... but thats just me and my own opinions on the possible health risks they involve.
