Don't confuse bad writing with bad acting... by Nullmeister2002-06-19 07:46:23

I thought the dialouge and acting by hyzenthlay 2002-06-19 08:31:30
were both very wooden. Which didn't bother me much, it sort of fits in the the rigid protocol of the Republic.

I had not thought about the fact that there is only so much an actor can do with bad dialogue. The problem is that I don't care what happens to the characters. Their so wooden and unlikeable that I would not have cared if they all got eaten by the big nasty things with teeth. Didn't Lucas write the first three as well? How did Luke Leia and Han end up so real when Padme and Anikin are so terribly fake?

It's a great popcorn movie, but it'll never be much more than that.
