What is the watt rating on the power supply? I believe (don't take this absolute truth) that the Athlon likes at LEAST 300 watts and then with everything else in your box, you may want 350/400 watts. More than likely, if your box is "YEARS" old and you haven't upgraded the power supply, it is probably 250 watts.
