The saloon doors bash open and in staggers glenalec. His fingers are laser-toner black. His knuckles are red-raw from the cheese-grater-like confines beneath the circuit board. A posidriver dangles from its holster, still smoking. .... glenalec - 1 (got the jammed paper out) Deskjet - 1 (still refuses to work) .... Pitr-cola -- strait!!!!!!!!!!! -------- That had to be the most obnoxiously difficult to dis-assemble piece of hardware I have ever encountered. Screws, hidden clips AND a chasis that concentinas open!! I won't be buying one of them for myself! And you really shouldn't need a shop-service just to clear a paper jam. The thing I hate most about Windows is that it assumes all it's users are complete nonces (which may be true to a point - they ARE using Windows). The printer gives an orange error light. The PC reports something like "The printer is not working." DAAAH!!! If it would tell me what part isn't working I could make a serious attempt at a solution. Oh well, I'm not paid for fixing printers here - I just needed the printer. I'll walk to another department and use theirs. Well... (swishes cape over shoulder). My work here is dumb.
