I am very tolerant of smokers, as long as I don't catch a whiff of the disgusting smell.... I think some reasonable accomodations could be made, like a separate room for smokers with the air vented to the outdoors or heavily filtered (a separate pool for urinating....) I don't want to be punitive and make smokers stand outside in the rain or snow... they've got enough of a health burden already.
and I TOTALLY agree about people working in the food industry!

Canadians are usually more polite than USians, and I suppose that might even apply to smokers....
