Never use olive oil in your ear, it gets it clogged. Better use a sweet oil, like baby oil or almond oil. And what I have to drop in my ear now is to prevent it from inflamating... But it feels nasty. I have an 'open' eardrum: I was operated on it when I was a child. There's a tube inside to drain fluids from my middle ear.
