that many government/large commercial organisations have historical databases written in this old and cranky language. However ... if you go to work for them, you may have to help convert their processes .. for which it is awfully helpful if you actually understand what the original programs do ... at the very least, you are going to have to write stuff that interacts with these old progs ... You have my sympathy ...:)
