| To learn COBOL now. Y2K's over, right? You'd think that the banks, etc, have already upgraded the machines that were once there programmed in "The Really Overly Descriptive and Wonderful, Frutiful, and Time-wasting COBOL Version 3.5". Ugh, gimme an assembler and a C compiler any day. I once saw COBOL as it was taught at UW-Stout along with FORTRAN by this old-school hacker whom probably Sid would be proud of. This of course was the same guy that taught me assembler.
Anyway, my sympothies are with you. |
