So I'm in the mood to hit a golf ball across my field. I get the ball, tee it up, swing with my 5 wood, and follow the ball in the air. As its coming down, something else catches my eye: a deer. Remembering the golf ball, I find it in the air just in time to watch it go *thwack* right into the side of the deer. I stare blankly for a few minutes and it ran out of sight. I go back in the house and explain to my parents what had happened. My dad, looking out the window, says to me "Well I don't think it ran too far, there it is again." I decided that it was in a good photo pose, so I grab my camera and run out. Being the idiot I am, I ran back out and moved so much that the deer saw me and took off.
Feeling foolish, I think to myself "I might not have run far..." So I take off for my field (not wanting to waste the fact that I had grabbed my camera) and I make for the top of the chicken coop that we have back there. I sit down, and look around. No deer. I look over at a small hill, and I see 4 rabbits gathered. I try to focus on a picture for that, but they take off when I do. I look over to the pond, nothing going on over there. I look toward the trees for some interesting birds, nothing. Just then, a noisy truck comes down from a nearby dirt road, cuts a donut, and takes off, making a lot of noise. Looking in that direction, but turning my head back in the direction of the salt block, I think "Well that deers not coming back toni--," my thoughts interrupted with the deer, by the salt block, staring right at me. I try to move extremely careful, moving my camera little by litte, and when I get it in the perfect picture mode, the deer bolts. I tried to take a picture of it, but it was no use, it was gone. So I got to go back to the house, feeling defeated by the deer.
At least I got to whack it with the golf ball ;) |
