I'm convinced it _never_ deletes the addresses of good spam victims. I think it saves those names for the spammers' address generating programs to work from - so they can find your new account faster. Those so-called "options" don't work all the time. I've checked the one that says "Immediate Deletion of Junk Mail", but it doesn't work. I've tried to send a letter about this problem to various addresses, but they are all simply robots that return a form reply based on the keywords you choose. They don't WANT to fix that (or any other) problem. There is a real problem with being very popular - it makes your email provider a much greater target of spammers. Combined with the spam-friendly behavior that Hotmail displays...
