Media question by sunw 2002-06-18 00:52:55
Can this be true ? I was just creating a couple of mp3 songs from my own cd's ofcourse, but anyway, I tried to play it in Realone player and in Windows Mediaplayer 8, the sound quality difference was amazing (both were 192 kbits/sec), Realone player just sounded SO MUCH WAY BETTER than Mediaplayer, and my Unix brain got the better of me and ant-competive theories just filled up my brain, so I tried to take one song and make it into .wma and given it sounded better than the mp3 in mediaplayer, it did not sound better than the mp3 file in Realone player.

Is microsoft doing this just to pit a blow to mp3 and make their wma standard or are they just this really bad programmers ?

Best regards,

sunw
