because I actually agree with Jason. *shudders*

...It's a religion that's much easier to live with in today's world, and I think that, for all the trouble it's caused throughout history, religion is still a good thing because it gives people something to hold onto, and a basic set of rules to live by - those are things that are constant throughout all religions, and while I don't personally subscribe to the whole concept, I'm all for anything that makes it easier for those who do.

Catholicism is much more tolerant and progressive (comparitively speaking) than many other 'christian' branches. If we have to have Christianity, I'd rather have them than, say, southern baptists, or worse, the tele-evangelist style.
