| Also, the problem with flash (on Linux that is), is that a flash plugin exists, but not a shockwave plugin. The two are not the same! I found out when I wanted to participate in the penguin game some time ago. mime-types like flash are handled by the flash plugin, but it didn't know what to do with application/x-director and directed me to the macromedia plugin page, which doesn't have the shockwave/director thingy for Linux. Yeah, long blah, short meaning is: Opensource flash, shockwave and (while you're at it) quicktime would be nice as well. (There are projects, but qt5 is still not available for linux...) |
