That is standard procedure. COPPER outside is bad. COAX outside is not bad. That standard life of rg6 (outside on a house or a drop) is 20+ years.
If you want it wallfished, do it yourself, but leave the ends uncrimped. (unless u are using PPC fittings or some similiar compression fittings, crimping allows or ingress and egress) Let the CableCo put the fittings on. Who is your cableco?
