Luther posted his Thesises (Sp?)because he opposed Indulgences. Also, most of his Thesises were right, the Church agreed, and changed them.
And, yes, the Church does have an infrastucture that's not in the Bible. But, I think much of what is done is in the spirit of the Bible. And, honouring Mary... well, the Bible does say to honour your father and mother, no? Why wouldn't we honour God's mommy?
And, I'd like to re-itterate, no, SAINTS ARE NOT WORSHIPED. God is worshiped. That's it. Anyone who tells you differently is wrong. In the argument you have, it's just as plausable to say that I worship my parents, dog, and country. Just because I love a saint, and I ask him or her to put in a good word for me, does not mean I worship him or her. |
