Worship of... WHAT?!!!? Where do protestants GET this stuff?!!? The word "saint" means "Someone we know is in heaven." One preys THROUGH a saint (not TO a saint), in hopes that they can get in a good word for you, essecially. Kinda like when you're doing a job interview, it can be helpful for someone alredy in the company to put in a good word for you with the people hiring. You're not asking the person alredy there to hire you, just to help you make sure your voice is heard.
Of COURSE Mary has a large role! Who are some of the most influental people over the course of your life? Your mom prolly ranks pretty high - I mean, she did all that birthing and raising stuff. So, yes, we honour and revere Mary. But, before it's said. No, no she's not worshiped. That would break the whole one god thing, wouldn't it?
